The 156 16v Twin Spark versions do have an rather complicated intake system. I'm talking about the part just before the airfilterbox. This part exists of a complicated shaped pipe with several so called air rooms which are meant as some kind of silencers for the intake noise at certain revs. Because of this the way to the airfilter is rather long and does have some restricted point when it comes to airflow. The maximum power output won't hardly be influenced but the reaction on the accelerator pedal does when you replace this section by the intake pipe from a 156 V6 or JTD version. For these last version it's a stock installed part.
