Max Mosley, the President of the FIA, met on Friday with Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica to discuss the construction of a modern circuit, reports a french-language AFP release.

A statement issued by Mr. Kostunica's office, reported AFP, indicates that .the construction of such a circuit would have great importance for the development of motor sport in Serbia, tourism, and in promoting the country..

The meeting also touched the Formula One ambitions of Serbian driver Milos Pavlovic, who finished third in this year's World Series by Renault Championship, added the statement.


Bernie Ecclestone had also met the Prime Minister in Belgrade earlier this year when he went to .examine investment opportunities. in Serbia.
