Nakon Alfe 159 1750 TBi, novi 1,75 litarski turbo benzinac se našao i pod haubama Alfinih sportskih modela Brera i Spder, koji su takođe dobili i novi 2.0 JTDM turbo-dizelaš.
1750 TBi raspolaže sa 200KS i 320 Nm obrtnog momenta (dostupan već od 1400 o/min.), a sa njim oba modela postižu maksimalnih 235 km/h, dok ubrzanje do stotke kod Brere traje 7,7 sekundi a kod Spidera 7,8 ekundi (Brera inače sa ovim motorom emituje 189 grama CO2 po kilometru a Spider 192 grama).
Što se 2.0 JTDM motora tiče (zadovljava naravno Euro5 norme), on razvija 170KS i 360 Nm (pri 1750 o/min.), dovoljno za najveću brzinu od 218 km/h i ubrzanje do 100 km/h za 8,8 sekundi (Brera), odnosno 9 sekundi (Spider). Ovde i fabrički podatak da novi Sider 2.0 JTDM na 100 km prosečno troši samo 5,4 litara goriva.
Cene u Italiji izgledaju ovako: Alfa Brera 1750 TBi staje 29.800 evra, Alfa Brera 2.0 JTDM 31.600 evra, Alfa Spider 1750 TBi 31.800 evra a Alfa Spider 2.0 JTDM ima cenu od 33.600 evra.

voleo bih da vidim dyno tog motora... jos nisam cuo za motor koji postize 200ks ima obrtni moment od 320nm na 1400? rpma i moze da gura snagu do 6-7000? tako nesto ne postoji...
cak ni novi subaru motori koji su prvi poceli da koriste takve turbine ne mogu to da proizvedu, prave snagu na 5000 a obrtni moment na 2400... sa jos manjim turbom mozda se spusti nm na 1800 ali i snaga ce pasti na 4500 i nize... dobro dosli u svet benzinskih dizela...
iskreno se nadam da lupam gluposti i da taj motor nekom magijom pravi obrtni moment od 1400 do 6500 i 200ks na 6500... ali kapiram da od toga nema nista... sacekacemo neki dyno pa da vidimo... ali mi tako mali lag smrdi na veoma mali turbo koji brzo gubi dah i tehnicki pretvara benzinca u dizel...

I ja ne kapiram tako likove koji sve misle da znaju jer su procitali negde nesto i to je tako.Pa brate mili sacekaj prve testove pa cemo videti nije Alfa politicka stranka pa da obecanja ne ispunjava

S tim sto je jednu stvar Jamal dobro predvideo, bar prema recima onih koji su ga prvi testirali - motor ima pomalo "dizelsku" narav slicno VW FSI motorima i posle 5500 rpm brzo gubi dah. Medjutim, uzrok takvog nacina rada nije mali turbo kao sto je mislio nas kolega. Tehnologija ide dalje...A ovo gore receno ne spominju u negativnom kontekstu, vec kao nesto na sta se covek treba navici...

Abarth se ponasa bas na taj nacin - vuce od niskih obrtaja ali poslije 5500rpm ga napadne astma

pa sta se sekirate, jedan veci turbo resava sve probleme i vozite opet turbo benzinca a ne turbo dizela na benzin

Svaki ozbiljniji tuning ovog motora pocinje od promjene DP
Standardno je kat 600cpi a u SS je 200cpi. Dobici pri promjeni kata ili nakon izbacivanja citavog (nalazi se u DP) su primjetni - bolje se "vrti", i mnogo vise snage pri visljim obrtajima. Potvrdjeno na dyno testovimaale944 napisao:moderni katalizatori minimalno prigusuju izduv, tako da nece biti da je to razlog

inace taj efekat pomaze motoru da ide u obrtaje , a ne obratno.
jedina novina je to sto je alfa uvela preciznu kontrolu "izgubljene" kolicine usisanog vazduha kroz izduvni ventil, cime se povecava ekonomicnost.
ipak je mali turbo taj koji devojci srecu kvari...

to je posledica overlapa , prosto rececno usisani vazduh pomaze evakuaciju izduvnih gasova jer su jedno vreme i usisni i izduvni ventil otvoreni.scavenging control system

Oba grafika su sa remapom - sa katom nije bilo mogucnosti da se ide dalje u obrtaje jer je snaga drasticno opadala

"It involves having a lot of valve-timing overlap – inlet and exhaust valves open together – between 1000 and 1800 rpm. This gives a direct path through the cylinder for the intake air, already compressed by the turbocharger, to add further airflow energy via the exhaust valve to the turbocharger's exhaust-driven turbine. The amount of escaping high-pressure air is quite small (it increases the total air draw by about 30 per cent) but it's enough dramatically to reduce turbo lag.
That's the scavenging bit – using the momentum of airflow to get the most air through the engine – but there's more. This being a direct-injection engine, fuel is injected only when and where it needs to burn which means, during this low-speed scavenging process, not on the inlet stroke. But just after the power stroke is completed and the hot exhaust gases are being expelled, another little squirt of fuel combines with the remaining oxygen and causes the gases to expand further in the exhaust manifold. This, of course, drives the turbo with yet more energy.
The key to all this is very close, and greatly variable, control of valve timing (on both camshafts), injection timing and ignition timing. The overlap progressively reduces up to 2000rpm, by which time the engine is behaving more like a regular, albeit still very torquey, turbo having suffered minimal lag up to that point.
Does it work? I drove both a Brera and a heavier Spider with the new engine, and the pull from low revs was mighty impressive. It's not a sporting-feeling engine, which is unfortunate given the badge its cars wear, because the initial throttle response is quite soft and the power is fading fast by 6000rpm, but it's a muscular and effortless one which subjectively makes these weighty cars feel rather more eager than they do when powered by the V6, never mind the lacklustre 2.2."

This being a direct-injection engine, fuel is injected only when and where it needs to burn which means, during this low-speed scavenging process, not on the inlet stroke. But just after the power stroke is completed and the hot exhaust gases are being expelled, another little squirt of fuel combines with the remaining oxygen and causes the gases to expand further in the exhaust manifold. This, of course, drives the turbo with yet more energy.
The key to all this is very close, and greatly variable, control of valve timing (on both camshafts), injection timing and ignition timing. The overlap progressively reduces up to 2000rpm, by which time the engine is behaving more like a regular, albeit still very torquey, turbo having suffered minimal lag up to that point.
Does it work? I drove both a Brera and a heavier Spider with the new engine, and the pull from low revs was mighty impressive. It's not a sporting-feeling engine, which is unfortunate given the badge its cars wear, because the initial throttle response is quite soft and the power is fading fast by 6000rpm, but it's a muscular and effortless one which subjectively makes these weighty cars feel rather more eager than they do when powered by the V6, never mind the lacklustre 2.2."
Cini mi se da je iz gore navedenog suprotno...sto je i nekako logicno...inace taj efekat pomaze motoru da ide u obrtaje , a ne obratno.
